Classic Bahnstormers

I initially contacted Classic Bahnstormers to diagnose an overheating issue with my BMW e28 and to also perform an appraisal report. Through the diagnostics it was determined that my engine was in overall poor condition and there was a crack in the block. Steve and team then commenced a project to source and fit a replacement motor as well as resolve all necessary issues to make my vehicle safe and reliable for future motoring. This was a long endeavour but Steve and the Team worked tirelessly, dealing with many setbacks and unforseen issues. I am incredibly impressed with the workmanship and communication throughout and was delighted when it came time to collect my car at the end. I would not hesitate to contact Classic Bahnstormers for future work because there passion e28s and Classic BMWs is clear to see. I have driven the car approx 1000 miles since handover and had zero issues. I own a 1982 E21 3 Series. I would strongly recomend for quality work and enthusiastic honest service. I had an appraisal which was very thorough and categorised 1. safety, 2. reliabilty and 3. nice to do. We agreed a budget and electrical, fuel supply, braking and welding work all performed as planned. The experience started with breaking down enroute and being rescued by the CB team! Not a service but a kindness! Since returning the car to me about a year ago it has been more reliable and economical (100% so in fact) than the rest of our family cars which are 35 yrs younger! As needed the car will be back in their care. CB put the enjoyment into owning a classic BMW as I now trust the car. Excellent service, great communication and extremely knowledgeable of classic BMWs Following an appraisal on my BMW E28 M535i, they rescued me, after an electrical failure affecting there timing. Problem was promptly resolved by Steve and his team. The car will now be booked into Classic Bahnstormers, for the fabrication, welding and works necessary to get the car up to scratch. I found the Steve and the team at Classic Bahnstormers completely by accident whilst searching for an E30 Mtech 2. After a couple of conversations and a visit I decided to buy one of their stock cars an e28 M535i for a restoration project with them. Steve was brilliant in listening to my ideas, keep it stock, keep it stock. The suggestions made to upgrade the challenging parts of a car from the 80's wheels & brakes was appreciated and agreed with, this only done after future proofing the car. The rot went, new panels and fabrication came, the car was painted , engine, transmission and suspension overhauled & rare parts sourced. What a car I have ended up with!!, the work your team has put in is simply amazing.. I love it, thank you so much for working with and working me through the process....
