I used Martin to do my extension when he traded with his partner under a different name. The extension started well but at the end he and his partner had a disagreement and we have been left with so many loose ends and unable to get building regulations. We have two leaking skylights, a radiator that doesn't work because they crushed the pipe when the floor was laid, a lumpy ceiling because one of their men put his foot through the newly plastered ceiling and it wasn't rectified properly, a new boiler that keeps losing pressure...the list goes on. Martin comes across as a genuine, trustworthy man but he does not complete his obligations and ignores all correspondence. Please be very wary of instructing him.

Martin Roberts over charged for exceptionally low quality work, nearly all of which had to be ripped out and redone. Even the windows which were supplied through Martin's 'associate' were left bodged by a window fitter who wasn't even Fensa registered and failed to come back to fix. Avoid.

Awful, Awful, Awful, if I could award Martin Roberts (MRA Renovations) no stars I would have but unfortunately this was not an option. I instructed MRA renovations to undertake building a single storey extension and house refurbishment. He said that he had a team of experienced qualified tradesman that he worked with for about 20 years. He said he was a qualified experienced builder. I have 4 bathrooms that were refitted by him and his team. All 4 leaked and in the master bathroom, his plumber installed the shower upside down. The level of workmanship was so poor that 2 of the bathrooms had to be ripped out and re fitted. One of the bathrooms has still not been re fitted. Martin Roberts himself constructed the roof on the extension, it could not be passed as suitable by building control. My structural engineer effectively condemned it as it was structurally unsafe. In fact to date, the extension has not been passed by building control. The build which he said would be completed in 12 weeks, has taken 7 months and is STILL not completed. He has essentially taken my money and run away with it, leaving it unfinished, in a poor state and we are now having to instruct competent workmen to complete and finish the job that he could not do. I do not recommend him at all. He is untrustworthy, unprofessional and unskilled. If you want your home ruined he is your man. If you want a nice home that is structurally sound, then look elsewhere. To be honest I looked at Bark and the reviews on his page are glowing. However, if you look on google reviews, those reviews paint a much more accurate picture about MRA renovations. This review is genuine and should serve as a warning to all those thinking to engage this man and his band. You have been warned do not used him he is not a builder! I have just learnt that he is trying to shut his business down knowing that we are taking him to court.
