Golden Palace - Chinese Take Away (Beckenham)

First time ordering from here and Got told to come in 30 mins; got there 15 mins early and my food was waiting behind the counter.sweet and sour sauce was over cooked and a dark brown colour. The chicken balls seemed to have been cooked and cooked again and the spring rolls look like they have been cooked in batter, (twice) and bits of bubbled batter on the outside of them rather than a smooth crispy coating.

It's such a shame to write this as we have been going to Golden palace for many years but haven't ordered from there for a good few months. Ordered from there tonight and really wouldn't of thought it was from the same place. Duck Cantonese was nice but the chicken satay was fried to death. The king prawn balls were tiny and also over fried so were hard but the worst was the special chow mein since when has it had celery in it and so much veg, it didnt look appealing when i took the lid off. Sad to say wont be going back complete waste of money.

Traditional Chinese takeaway. It's harder and harder to find a chinese takeway that does all the traditional favourites these days, This place sticks to the traditional formula and the food is frankly delicious. Very nice food quick service family run business. I've been going there for years. I'm travel quite a lot for work but when I'm in Beckenham I always go here and take it back to my parents.
