I really wanted to give this review more stars, however I have to be truthful about my experience. Firstly, we stayed in a brand new static caravan, lovely, clean and fairly well equipped. The pitch was also new too, being able to park your car close was another personal advantage for me. Where this place really fell short was the 'on-site' services, firstly the reception staff, they had a cannot be bothered attitude about them, directed us to the wrong area, then claimed they did not have the key for the caravan, we were left waiting, until we decided to walk to the reception where the keys were just laying on the side - first impressions count. Secondly, the swimming pool, staff vaping in the swimming pool area, and eating take-away right next to the pool, along with the microwave and fridge, it really did not look professional, from inside the pool. The whole pool complex was dirty, cobwebs everywhere, the water was not particularly clean. Adjacent to the the pool was a cupboard with no ceiling and carboard boxes could be seen stacked all in no order, the queueing system to enter the pool was chaos, with people jumping the queue claiming their child had disabilities just so they did not have to wait - this was all down to poor control from the staff. The evening entertainment for kids, the worst I have ever seen to date, the P.A system was so loud and over amplified and the staff were talking so close to the microphones even I could not hear what they were saying let alone a child, my 6 year old said what are they doing - this is boring, I could not agree more. Went to the bar to buy him a slush, to be told the staff have not had chance to refill it today - its kids hour - your busiest time to sell that drink - again, poor. Kids play area looked abandoned, along with the golf complex. It seems to be this site is obsessed with trying to sell you a pitch without realising it has to offer you more than just a caravan, the staff and the site need overall improvements before you go off selling the dream. Lastly the shop, closed before it was supposed to as the person wanted to 'cash-up' and again, just had the feeling that the staff were not interested. Would I recommend, yes, only as a base, lovely caravan, lovely pitch and use it to stay and go elsewhere (like we did in the end). The whole complex, its a no from me, more work required sadly. Food & drinks: As in my review above, the chaos and noise at kids hour along with the fact the place needed a deep clean, I did not choose to eat here. It should be a place to spend time and have fun, it certainly was not.
