Having received a few bouquets from Fairmile florists over the years, mostly good, I was surprised to receive a bouquet from my children on Saturday 18. March in the morning - the day before Mothers Day! The bouquet was made up mostly of a lot of filler greenery and support act filler flowers, but not one main act flower, such as a vibrant rose or Lilly or two, to bring it alive. They were wrapped in many excessive layers of plastic polythene, something not needed and definitely environmentally not good. Also, I saw the shop was open the next day, on actual Mothers Day Sunday, when they should have been delivered. I live only around the corner, so why were they not? The flowers when I unwrapped them, seemed not very fresh and dropped quite a few their petals, leaving me to discard quite a few, including the excessive amounts of many types of filler greenery. I think the lesson here would be: Quality rather than quantity and: Less is definitely more? (much more economical too?) Thank you for responding to and putting right the above.

Last week, it being Mothering Sunday, I - along with loads of other people judging by all the allocated bunches in the shop - got an excellent bunch of flowers from this friendly florist. My Mother is somewhat choosy about what flowers get assembled for a gift: having described preferences, I was somewhat surprised about the variety and volume of blooms that appeared. This included around 12 different varieties with many contrasting colours and smells - a tribute to my perceived experience of the florest. The flowers were VERY well received by my Mother - and promoted to PrideOfPLace. She was particularly pleased by the variety and quality - and immediately +vely commented upon the florist's expertise. Whilst you may consider this business to be an expensive provider: the basic fact is that you get what you pay for. Supermarkets may be cheaper, but the flowers are not as good and experience suggests these don't last as long. Go there for Quality, Variety and Durability!
