Just got back from here. Was working in the area. Lovely little place to stay. Clean tidy and compact. Theres everything you need. Washer and dryer up the end of the garden (beautiful well kept garden by the way) I put my back out the week earlier and was staying in the Camponile Hotel with a dreadful bed. When I arrived at Hopewell I went out and bought a back support. That along with the amazingly comfortable bed here saved me and I was able to go back to work. The owner very kindly gave me ice packs for my back. Oh by the way, there is no freezer in the accommodation. But the owners will allow you to use theirs no problem. There is a co op not far away and a morrisons a bit further. Try The Green Man pub if your looking for somewhere nice to have a drink and a meal. Bit pricey but a lovely setting. Owners were smashing at Hopewell. Down to earth and normal who were very respectful of our space. Owner lady Debbie is quirky and funny and delightful to chat to. I think if I stay again I will take a bottle of wine to share.

Terrible! I recieved a confirmation email on booking the room. I arrived the next day at 4pm to an empty house and no answer on the phone. I waited for an hour and left a message on the landline before leaving and having to spend over an hour phoning local hotels for a replacement. I was then called at 8:45pm by the owner saying she hadnt had a booking but to call her if I still wanted to stay! I have an email from your husband confirming the booking with a booking reference. What a god awful service that has cost me dearly by making me late for meetings and unable to get changed and prepared for an evening meeting. I must add, I have had no apology at all. Awful experience.
