I was charged 370 to repair a leak under the kitchen sink at my flat, which was supposedly done, but when I got someone to confirm if the work was completed satisfactory, they discovered another 3 places water leaked out around the same pipes. Was also quoted 470 to fix two toilets that didn't stop filling. I got another plumber to fix, parts cost < 20, and labour was 120 for the hour, which is still expensive, but nowhere close to B.B quote

I've always enjoyed doing business with Billy Bratton. As a Property Manager I can honestly say over a countless number of jobs that their work is solid and they aren't afraid of going that extra mile for you when you need it. They're also competitively priced. If your looking for a honest contractor (which there aren't many!) - give Billy Bratton a try.

These people quoted me (I should say the property management company that deals with my lettings) well in excess of 1000 pounds to carry out what would have been no more than 3 - 4 hrs work on very minor "snagging" items. Included in this was 230 (inc VAT) for materials ie : filler for 6 screw holes, a simple lock (mechanism only), 50 cm of silicon sealant, whilte emulsion for 15 m2 of painting and 7 lightbulbs. I did not accept the quote !!. Maybe for some, having friendly pleasant workmen is "worth any price". To me it seems like unscrupulous "bigging up" of a job that, I presume, they believed I had no detailed knowledge of.
