Birkdale Neuro Rehabilitation Centre

I experienced the excellent care of the Birkdale through my Grandmas very severe stroke- they were not at all alarmed by her complex presentation and poor prognosis. They managed to rehabilitate her and guide us to enjoying a good quality of life with her. Many years later, when my dad had a very severe stroke following a serious operation, there was only one group of people that I had confidence in to rebuild his life. We searched for more local clinics, as the Birkdale is not especially close to us, but knew we had to find "the right clinic" as we had a tight timeframe as we were due to emigrate. He entered the clinic unable to exit a car and walking a few steps on a Zimmer frame. After some intensive therapy, eight weeks later he walked onto the plane with a smile on his face- the only looking back we will do is to say thank you! As a medical doctor, I can not find any other clinic to recommend to my patients (or family) that comes close!

Ive been a patient of Birkdale for over fifteen years after being diagnosed with MS. Ive found their treatment excellent, very holistic and up to date. This has kept me mobile throughout. Im a physiotherapist, myself, and would highly recommend Fashidah and her experienced team.

I am a 36yo with a brain tumour which caused me to be hemiplegic. I have been getting frequent physiotherapy in Singapore and was getting restless with my rehabilitation progress, which then led me to visit Birkdale. It was the best decision made. Birkdale staff are knowledgeable and clearly experts in the subject matter. I was surprised at the improvement of my walking gait just after the first assessment. They also bestowed plenty of tips and tricks in my rehabilitation journey. The clinic, which is superbly well equipped,is located along the beautiful river Thames, which motivates one to look forward to physiotherapy. Richmond is also dotted with many nice cafes for brunch and afternoon tea after. Farshideh and Marriane are superstars, and Taraneh always a welcoming sight every time we enter the clinics doors.

Farshideh and the team are fantastic! I had a TBI in 2016 and still had ongoing problems and Farshideh was so incredibly helpful and thoughtful. She noticed things other practitioners ignored or didnt see. Great progress! And love her approach to reintroducing things into my life. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

The physios and staff at Birkdale guided me through a horrendous and traumatic time with care & kindness, true empathy, honesty and professionalism. They continue to give a first class programme of treatment to me which has helped enormously in my ongoing rehabilitation and recovery. I would highly recommend Birkdale Neuro Rehabilitation Centre without reservation.
