My experience at Inchcape Ipswich BMW I recently viewed and agreed to purchase a BMW vehicle from this dealership, and the experience was nothing short of extremely disappointing. The sales process was poorly managed and unprofessional, and the customer service was subpar. I was interested in purchasing a car from the dealership and had identified a BMW X5M that I was considering. Traveled over 5 hours to view the vehicle. However, there were a few issues with the vehicle that needed to be rectified before I could make a purchase. During the negotiation process, I brought these issues to the attention of the dealership, but they were slow to address them. I was assured that the issues would be resolved before I purchased the car, but I was disappointed to learn that this was not the case. I had arranged and paid a deposit for the vehicle under the conditions that all the issues would be rectified. I had gone through the effort of arranging finance for the vehicle. It took some time for the finance to be arranged as there were bank holidays in-between. However, Ryan kept pestering me about the finance as though I was not a serious buyer. A few days later the finance had been agreed and all payments were made to the dealership. We arranged a handover date with the dealership and the dealership confirmed that all the problems with the vehicle had been rectified. When I returned to the dealership to complete the purchase, the issues with the vehicle had not been rectified as promised. This lack of attention to detail and failure to follow through on their promises left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. On handover day I took the vehicle for a test drive and experienced juddering when breaking. This was one of the main issues identified when I initially went to view the vehicle. I mentioned this issue to two members of the sales team, Ryan and Alex, and they both dismissed it as normal characteristics of the car. I spoke to two BMW specialist technicians and they both advised that this is not normal and there is an issue with the vehicle. It is an 82,000 vehicle with has done only 6,000 miles. Unfortunately, I had to turn down the vehicle after making another 5-hour journey to the dealership. Both Ryan and Alex made no attempt to help resolve the issue. As a loyal BMW customer for the past 9 years, I expect a high level of expertise and attention to detail from authorized BMW dealerships. Unfortunately, my experience at Inchcape Ipswich has fallen far short of these expectations. It is unacceptable for a dealership to dismiss a potential safety issue as normal characteristics of the car without fully investigating the issue and taking appropriate action. Unfortunately, my experience at Inchcape Ipswich has left me feeling doubtful about purchasing a BMW car.

Had a good experience with Ipswich BMW. My car needed a repair to window mechanism, they arranged for it to be taken in before the usual 2 week wait. Dropped car in at 9am and it was ready for 5 pm, all sorted, everything explained, friendly and helpful, both at reception and service staff.

My BMW went in for a recall, i received a vehicle health check where i was told 2000 worth of URGENT repairs were needed on it, even though it had passed its service last month & MOT was passed 6months ago. I was told i had - leak in gear box, needed three new tyres, brake pads & brakes needed doing, fault with the battery. I have never had ANY issues with my car in the year i have had it, so j booked it into a garage and they found nothing wrong with my car the said it was a good car and runs lovely and has been well looked after, which it has. I also got my friends partner to take a look as he is a mechanic and he advised also no faults with the car after a deep thorough look. Would never use them again, untrustworthy and i feel as a young woman the wool was trued to be pulled over my eyes to get me to spend money for no reason !

I would have given zero stars. Having found at Inchcape Ipswich, what we thought was a used BMW which met our criteria of low mileage and at the budget we set ourselves, we paid our deposit to have the vehicle brought from Chelmsford to Ipswich for us to test drive. The day before the test drive we were then contacted by James at Inchcape, to be told the car had developed problems and the sale could not proceed. We were informed that another option had just arrived and we could view that vehicle instead. Upon arriving to view the "alternative vehicle" we were informed it was diesel - we had specifically requested petrol! However, the salesman (James), then amazed us with the story that our original choice had not in fact developed problems after all, and there had been a "mix-up" and it was another vehicle that had the problems - our original choice was still in Chelmsford - we again requested for the vehicle to be transferred from Chelmsford to Ipswich so we could test drive. Unbelievably, the day before the test drive, James AGAIN contacted us to say the car was found to have problems, and was not in a good enough condition to meet Inchcapes high standards and was being withdrawn. The salesman (James) went on to say how he had yet another option, just arrived, which was perfect for us. We went to see this "perfect vehicle". We had requested low mileage, this vehicle had, we eventually managed to prise out of James, over 70,000 recorded miles! By now we had had enough, requested our 250 deposit be refunded and we walked away. Amazingly, this car that we walked away from, which was " not of a good enough standard and was being withdrawn because the salesman (James) could not allow such a vehicle to be sold to us" is BACK for sale on Inchcapes website. Words fail me! As a result of the continuous changing stories, we visited another well known local dealer - what a difference and how refreshing! Helpful staff made us feel welcome and valued They have found us a vehicle which exceeds our hopes, a newer vehicle, lower mileage, same price. Very sadly this experience has tainted my views on my local BMW dealer, after previous positive purchases from the same dealer.

Absolutely amazing service. I come from Hertfordshire and found my local Group one mini/bmw provider rude, lazy and clueless- terrible customer service (despite me buying and servicing both my mini and BMW from then in the past). I went all the way to Ipswich to find incredible service, polite knowledgable and trustworthy dealership. When you are spending a considerable amount of money you need this. I have been dealing with Jake- an amazing young sales person who always goes the extra mile and remembers who you are! He also listens to what you require- not just what he thinks!
