The Community Schools

Wonderful experience. The service is amazing, the staff is very friendly, and the results I got were unbelievable. I went there practically hopeless. I had gotten a 4 in maths, yet with the help of wonderful Mr. Harvey, I got an 8 in my GCSEs. They are very professional, and the mentoring is tailored to your personal needs, and the way all teachers explain is truly so, so helpful. On top of that, I did Chemistry with Julie, and got a 7, from a predicted grade of 5-. They are wonderful people, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone thinking of doing something extra for their grade.

Excellent tutoring, teachers are amazing, patient and empowering. Both of my girls improved their performance at school and grew in confidence. We tried face to face, online and summer boosters with different subjects and definitely would recommend. Thank you Claire

We started my son with The Community Schools following a recommendation from a family friend. This was a great decision. He was well supported through GCSE and A-Level maths achieving Level 6 and Grade B respectively. No doubt this is due to the support of Claire and the other tutors at Kesgrave, as well as his teachers at school. TCS provide remote tutoring during lockdown, so his learning was stabilised during what was a traumatic period for us all. Highly recommended.

Claire organised a wonderful maths tutor for my 16 year old who was struggling with her maths. Hilary Katie's maths tutor was calm approachable and knowledgeable and soon had Katie on a great learning curve. When we started tutoring Katie was predicted a grade 4 with help, she is now working independently at a constant 5. This would not have been possible without Hilarys teaching and Claire organising and matching a perfect tutor. I highly recommend The community schools

The Community Schools helped me prepare for my GCSEs by teaching me efficient revision techniques and how to break down exam questions. My tutor, Claire, was super cheerful and gave me helpful advice on how to stay calm and focused during my maths exams, which helped relieve my anxiety when sitting them in Year 11. Claire catered to each students way of learning, which for me was visually. She would help lay out my cue cards for revision with diagrams and drawings to improve my memory. In our sessions we would also go through old exam papers, which was useful as it gave me a better understanding of what to expect in my real exams, as well as how to work through the more difficult 6 mark questions at the end of the papers in a time-efficient way. I was never afraid to ask for help or tell her I didnt understand something, instead she would try another approach so I fully understood a question. I was able to take home the notes and feedback that she thought would be beneficial to practise with. Overall, it was a very useful and pleasant experience, it made going through some (quite dull) maths questions more engaging! I would definitely recommend The Community Schools to any students worrying about their exams or how to revise.
