Scheduled an exam here on the recommendation of a friend who had a good experience....needed to be seen for new glasses and new contacts, which is what I selected online. Got the email confirmation, then a few days later the reminder, thought everything was fine. Today, as I'm walking out the door to go to the appointment I notice a text message from the office just saying call them immediately. I have no missesmd calls, no emails, nothing else, so I call. The girls tells me basically I can't be seen today because I don't have a recent eye exam....well yeah, that's why I scheduled the appointment...she tells me I need to schedule an eye exam, then AFTER that schedule a contact exam, which was not stated anywhere in the website. I've used specsavers for years, I've worn contacts for years, this is always the way I've scheduled appointments. And WHY am I being notified of this barely an hour prior to my appointment! I live an hour a way, what would they have done if I hadn't called? And they didnt even bother to try to call me, just one random text!!! She then tries to get me to reschedule, I told her to just cancel it. Then in the middle of the conversation either the phone went out or she hung up on me. Completely unacceptable customer service, lazy pre appointment record review to the point where I no longer trust the supposed "medical professionals" working there, and your website options need to be a lot to be a lot more clear if you're going to "do things differently than other specsavers " like the girl said on the phone
