I can still remember the first time I saw the Willis Towers Watson, so impressive a sight are its modernist lines. It's regarded as the centrepiece building of Ipswich & the town's central landmark, & rightly so. The architecture of the Willis Towers Watson have aged well externally, a mid-70's construction still looking so futuristic, it would not look out of place on the set of Bladerunner. It's quite pathetic how all the buildings to have arisen since in Ipswich, are traditional red-brick & breezeblock. Many of them attempt at expressing the town's nautical character by having curved rooflines, but look through the glass ofthe Willis Towers Watson, & its alike the boiler room look on a big ship, if not a spaceship! However, the interior has not fared nearly so well, especially the lurid colour combination of Lego bricks yellow & green. The primary & secondary colour scheme not only looks like it was chosen by a child, but is the kit colours for Norwich City FC; Ipswich Town's long-term bitter rivals, hence only 4*
