Hillyard FItness

Ive been lied too on more than one occasion, and Im owed money from Hillyard fitness. I was asked NOT to stop my direct debt when I cancelled the membership by the owner, which meant I ended up paying for 2 months worth of a membership, even though it is advertised as a no contract gym. When I asked what will happen with me getting a refund, the owner has stopped replying to me. I then contacted the company who collects the direct debit on behalf of Hillyard Fitness and I was given the impression the contract had not yet been cancelled. I feel scammed out of money as I still havent had an update on if I will ever get my refund even though I requested to stop the membership over 3 months ago.

The owner LUKE is absolutely horrific , wasnt the nicest thing witnessing him shout at someone for parking outside the gym if this is how he treats people I dont know how he has any members appalling behaviour

As a 21 year old female, being shouted and sworn at by a grown man for parking in the car park beside his gym wasnt the nicest experience..

The gym itself is good...BUT I messaged the owner, Luke, to inform him that I am moving house and need to cancel my membership. He told me there would be one month's notice to pay and it would be cancelled (I have dated messages to confirm this). I paid this and was then charged again the following month. I have since messaged the owner SEVEN times to rectify this and I have been ignored every time. I am now receiving debt collection notices as the membership still has not been cancelled by him as promised. So disappointing as I did enjoy the gym, but it is a nightmare to cancel, so I would not recommend.

If youre a current member and looking to cancel then good luck. My girlfriend asked to cancel in April and happily paid the 1 months notice, were now in July and she is still being charged. She now lives with myself 100miles away from the gyms location. She has attempted to message the owner (Luke Hillyard) on multiple occasions but she has been blatantly ignored as he has not replied however has been posting daily on his social media pages. I messaged him yesterday and have also been blatantly ignored. Absolutely pathetic and childish, and if he refuses to even reply to either one of us we will be seeking legal action.
