It was a rainy day in April I visited Halfords to replace my drivers side wind wiper. In store they have these tablets where you enter your car reg and it tells you which products are suitable for your make & model of car. I found what I needed and asked a member of staff if it is hard to fit or if I should pay 5 for a member of staff to fit it for me. I think the guy may have been the manager. It sounded straight forward but he assured me if I had any trouble I can return, pay 5, and theyd happily do it for me. He then introduced me to Sally on the till. I told her I had a long trip coming up and she upsold the FREE motor club membership which includes a ten point service check. I signed up and she went over all the awesome free benefits available and then I took a seat to wait a few minutes (not long at all) for the 10 point check. Then I met Reece. He got me to drive into a bay used for servicing and got right to work. It was pouring with rain, but he made sure I stayed dry. He remained positive despite the bad weather and getting wet, and talked through everything he was doing. He told me what oil to get and coolant to get. I bought the oil (with my 15% member discount) and he poured it in. Due to the rain the electrical equipment to check the tyres wasnt available, I was told I could come back another day if I wanted the last check. I returned early May to buy the coolant. Reece had said I needed the green one but the website said I needed pink. A member of staff approached to offer help and I explained my confusion. She took me to Sally to book in the tyre check & said Reece could check the coolant to make sure I buy the right one. I was instructed to bring my car into the bay and Reece checked all my tyres. Reece and his colleague both double checked the coolant and confirmed its definitely the green one. They made sure I bought the one I needed and showed me where to pour it in and gave me some tips on how to do it. Ive been blown away by the staff at Halfords. Everyone has been helpful and informative. I was nervous about going to the store but the knowledgeable staff put me at ease and I would go back and recommend them to everyone. Im seriously considering upping my membership to premium as both Sally & Reece told me about all the extra benefits and I can see how it would pay for itself. Fabulous customer service and affordability. Couldnt have been happier.
