In response to Moorland concerning their work performed on my DB5. The customer (who I purchased the car from) I know had issues with Chris and didn't want to spend much money on this vehicle. It was your choice to take on this job and load up the front and roof with up to 3 inches of body filler which is totally unacceptable. The rest of the car had thick body filler throughout by your shop. Although the body had previous damage it was your shops decision to do this work. When you were told to do this shortcut (and shoddy work) you decided to take this on. If you have a reputation to maintain why did you decide to take this on?? Didn't you realize that it says to customers that you have no pride in your work (from what was done on this car). You should have told Chris you didn't want to do shoddy work (and take on this work) but you decided to do so. When I received the car the paint was starting to crack (in the areas with thick body filler). Upon further investigation I found a complete nightmare under this paint! You decided to do this type of work so you take on the responsibility. There is nobody else to blame! Service: Body & Trim

About 4 years ago I purchased a Aston Martin DB5 from a gentlemen who had major restoration work performed by a shop near Moorland Classic Cars. This shop sent the DB5 for body restoration and paint to Moorland. After I purchased this car there were some paint chips that were to be repaired. It was found that the whole body was loaded with excessive unacceptable amounts of body filler. The front nose had up to 1/2 inch thick of body filler covering up severe aluminum damage. Had to have a new nose fabricated. The roof which had a Webasto sunroof replaced with aluminum skin also had over 1/2 inch of body filler. All body panels had excessive amounts of body filler throughout the car. I have the Moorland invoices (from previous owner) that states that Moorland had stripped the body to bare metal and then filled in the damaged areas. Under their paintwork was a nightmare of complete shoddy workmanship!! In my 40 years of owning and restoring cars I have never, never seen anything like this!! Would like to see a response from Moorland.
