Rooms: The cottages are well equipped. Good clean accommodation. Underfloor heating and Bolt Hole has a wood burning stove. Nearby activities: Plenty of interesting places to visit both in Staffordshire Moorlands, the Peak District and the nearby Pottery Towns. Working farms and several reserves of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust plus, steam trains, water mills etc Alton Towers, Wedgewood and Trentham Gardens are nearby. Safety: Good safety procedures and instructions in the cottages. Fire alarms etc and a list of emergency phone numbers. Walkability: Great walks nearby. No need to use the car unless you want to. Plenty of walks a bit further afield. Food & drinks: Self catering cottages but plenty of places to eat out nearby. There is also a BBQ shelter at the cottages which you can hire for the evening with a stove for heating,a large table and comfy chairs as well as the BBQ to cook on. Everything is provided except the food. Meat and fish can be bought from the owners in season and there are good food shops in Ipstones and nearby Cheadle. Individual BBQs can be used nearer the cottages Noteworthy details: Dog friendly. Quiet location. Good for viewing wildlife and birds. Swimming in the lake. Owners are very helpful and always go the extra mile.
