We rented the Gate Lodge . It was a lovely cottage for 2 with a hot tub and sauna. The rooms were lovely . The kitchen was large with seating for 2 and had all the appliances you could possibly need. The sitting room and kitchen was open planned and worked well. There was a dressing room with a sauna which was great. The bathroom and shower room was large . Outside there was a hot tub which was fun. We had twice daily visits from a lovely red squirrel. We were welcomed with freshly made bread and homemade soup which was a nice touch and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend for a couple. Lots to do nearby and a lovely cafe nearby which we used most days.

Enjoyed a fantastic stay in the Coach House, the smallest property on the estate but by no means short on space. The property had been refurbished recently and pretty much every mod con is on hand, including a Hotel Chocolat Velvitiser and a bread maker! The hosts, Sue and Graham were friendly and extremely helpful. E-bikes are available at the property and are included in the rental. A brilliant way of exploring the beautiful countryside of the National Park, which is literally a stone's throw away. Other local attractions, including Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles are within 30 - 40 minutes drive. A boat trip to the Farn Islands and Lindisfarne is highly recommended.

Just had a wonderful 5 days at The Coach House for my 50th Birthday. Weve thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen and bathroom are beautifully decorated, with the jet bath and wet room shower. We love the little touches on our arrival of the welcoming soup and bread. My surprise Bottle of Prosecco and chocs was amazing, It was like home from home. We love a log fire and had it on most nights chilling. Loved the Velvetiser and Bread Machine, we tried the bread mix and our loaf came out amazing and so privileged to be the first guests to try Henriettas eggs. Amazing. A beautiful area for hiking and cycling. We got a few hikes in while we were there. Weather was quite good. Loved Ingram Cafe just around the corner. The cherry and coconut choc cake was to die for. Graham, Trysha and Sue were helpful and were 5 star friendly and welcoming. Lovely hosts. Will gladly return soon. Its a spot we definitely will be coming back to. Definitely recommend The Coach House.

The Retreat is incredibly luxurious, I cannot recommend enough! We have just got home after staying at The Retreat over the Easter Weekend 2022. WOW - It was absolutely amazing! You come through your own private gate off the road, and at the end of a short track is your beautiful cottage. The location is so private and the views around are gorgeous. On stepping inside, the smell of freshly baked bread will hit you! And the freshly made soup will be ready for you too. The kitchen and dining area are carefully thought out, and have every single kitchen utensil or gadget you could possibly require. Through some glass you can see your private swimspa jacuzzi. It is just incredible, and after a weekend of floating around in it, we feel so relaxed! Upstairs you'll find a lounge area and your bedroom, with bathroom. The mattress on the bed is SO COMFY, we slept so well. Around the corner from the cottage is a local cafe selling fits and sweet treats, which we loved! There is also an electric car charger located at Ingram Village Hall. I had communicated with Graham and Trysha by email several times before we arrived and they were incredibly helpful with answering all of my questions, and we met Graham on our way out as we left, very friendly. We would 1000% stay here again, and will be recommending a stay here to all of our friends. We will definitely be back! It is difficult to be critical when The Retreat has been so thoughtfully laid out and prepared by the owners, but if I do have anything negative to say, it would be that the tap in the kitchen dripped constantly (Graham is aware and waiting for a part so it can be fixed) and my only other issue, not related to The Retreat at all, is my car was absolutely covered in bird poo after being parked under a tree for 4 days! Bloody nature, haha.
