The Shepherds Hut - Mill Granary Cottages

Have had a lovely stay here for a week in October. Weather been fab which has helped, although cottage equipped with plenty of board games, books, music and dvds. Beds were some of the. Comfiest I've ever slept in away from home. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings with a bit of star gazing. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of space to cook, eat and socialise. Plenty to see and do with short car journeys. The information book in the cottage we found very helpful. As a 3 generation family we enjoyed, locomotion, beemish, raby Castle and deer park, Barnard Castle, Eggleston Abbey and high and low force water falls.

Very impressive at first and lovely views, but I think some bits just need refreshing considering its meant to be 5 star. The kitchen table, you would expect something nicer, and for the price youd expect a welcome basket. We were disappointed that we couldnt use the hot tub on the first night as they didnt turn it on prior to us turning up, and it took all night to heat up. But it was nice to use in the evening to chill out and have a drink. The views from the property are lovely though, and the beds fairly comfy
