Bideber Mill Cottage

We were slightly disappointed with our stay for two nights for 235. Let me explain, the cottage is a fantastic size but is very cold and draughty due to the garage and poor external windows and doors. My partner had to get up at 4am as she was cold, she never gets cold! We both also have sore throats. The bedroom also smells damp along with the bedding and towels. We are both clean freaks and we feel this was average or slightly below average in all honesty, there were cobwebs in the corners and pubic hairs on the toilet and in the sink when we arrived. The location is great and the welcome was lovely, probably to compensate. We didn't want a full refund as this isn't fair but at 235 this is a premium price for average standards. We would have been happy with a 100 refund and we wouldn't have taken this any further. At a minimum our 50 service charge back as the landlady wanted us to empty the bins and strip the bedding before we left - what planet are you on!!!

I loved this holiday cottage. Nice and cosy place to stay. Me and my boyfriend felt very welcomed when we got there and during our stay. The care package provided on arrival was really thoughtful.
