We have eaten here on several occasions, including Sunday Dinner and Evening Meals. The food has always been excellent. The service has always been great, especially one waitress Mia, who has served us a few times now. I definitely recommend the Sunday Roast and the Beef & Gloucester Pie.

The most unprofessional pub/restaurant Ive ever been too. Went on Wednesday last week as had a booking on the Sunday for a friends 60th birthday and thought Id give it a try, food was okay but came out 1 by 1. Id eaten my meal before my dad had even had his arrive. Though as it was mid week lunch it was just understaffed. Well roll around Sunday we arrived, were told our table wasnt ready and would we mind if we sat and waited. There were 3 of us lots of other tables but okay. Then after 30 minutes we hadnt had anyone come over to us, so we called someone over and she said were sorry theres still an issue as soon as its sorted we will be seated and she handed us some menus we asked if we would be getting our table as I was able to make another booking at the greyhound (a much better pub and food was nicer!) we were told yes it will be fine. In this time people who worked in the pub were just running in and out of the area where we were sitting, on the phone talking about how someone had just walked out 20 minutes later we again had to grab someone to come over and he told us the pub was closed (news to us) with no apology. The manager and the kitchen staff had walked out. To say we were annoyed is an understatement, the booking I was able to get at the greyhound had been and gone. Not worth a visit the food is mediocre and the service was shocking! Luckily I rang up the greyhound and they were able to book us in so 60th birthday celebrations were saved.

This place is ideal to meet up with our friends as it's about halfway. I arrived first and was greeted by Eddie who was very welcoming and suggested a double shot latte as a good coffee for me. It was! My friends arrived, we went to our table and ordered food. A good choice on the menu, the starters arrived and were spot on . We wanted to chat, but realised we'd been waiting for ages for our main course , and they were not busy. Finally we asked about our main course, and it appeared quite quickly, though could have been hotter. We mentioned this as we left, and were told the chef was new......perhaps he was, but we could have been told the food was delayed. Will continue to use the restaurant, as it's convenient and a good atmosphere, but luke warm late food is not a good plan!

Me and my whole family have just come to this restaurant waited almost 2 hours for food to come out when we finally get our food one of our dishes didnt come out. Whilst we had to evacuate I see one of the staff eating my pizza! And they have the cheek to say they have no dough left to make my pizza. That is not good service. Really disappointed
