Coming up to a year now when I paid 16 for an "assessment" which I am supposed to get back when I choose to use their services. In the change, I got an old pound coin, which I wasn't happy about, but thankfully was replaced when she came back to take some photos. And that was it. No call to say when they could start. Not even a call to say they couldn't do it. Just ripped off for 16 and all with Liverpool City Council's recommendation. Don't bother with them. In reply to your reply, Stephen... WHAT SUPPORT?? I rang twice, several months between calls. I'm still not getting "support". So no, I'm not changing the one star review. If I could've chosen 0 stars, I would have.

I used Bring me sunshine for my mum for about 8 months. Their care, compassion and communication was excellent. They were very amenable and went the extra mile with changing visits with very short notice. I have nothing but praise for the support they offered. I can recommend them without hesitation. Thank you especially to Charlene.

We have used the services of Bring Me Sunshine for over 2 years. Initially we wanted a cleaner for our mum to clean her house once a week. I contacted Bring Me Sunshine, and within a very short time they had organised a cleaner and we were able to say what we wanted done for mum. if days and times had to be changed, it was never a problem. As time went on, we then needed a companion for mum to visit at least once a week. We couldn't be happier with the person that is now mum's companion and cleaner. Mum has someone who helps with her shopping, takes her to town, spends time chatting over a cup of tea, and we have a person we trust completely. We have also used the services of Bring Me Sunshine to take mum to hospital and doctor's appointments. They take her, stay with her, and take her home and settle her back in. We have come to rely on them to provide all the extras that make such a difference to mum's everyday living, and they provide us with great peace of mind. And what is wonderful is that we can contact them at any time, and they respond very quickly.

Following a series of emails to arrange an assessment , I was visited by Stephen, one of the proprietors. I have low key needs; domestic cleaning. I was certainly not paying 15 per hour for company, be it at home, or on trips out, irrespective of destination. Basic requirement is 2 hours, every single week. Stephen asked for permission to take photographs of the areas I wanted addressing...a tad strange, but I did not feel I could refuse. In fairness, Stephen did delete those photographs from his mobile, before leaving, when he realised I was not going to engage with services offered. Nothing I could put my finger on, but I was not impressed. I became wholly unimpressed when asked to sign two documents, of which I was not offered copies. A basic offering of a care plan, and signed assurances that, should I not take up the offer of service provision, I will pay a 15 assessment fee. Nothing of this 15 fee on either the website, nor the leaflets, nor in any of the email communications leading to Stephen's visit. I did not pay this fee, despite receiving an invoice inviting me to do so a few days later. I emailed Stephen a written response, from Citizens Advice, which stated that, as I had not entered into a pre visitation agreement of this outfits terms, and conditions, in writing, then I was under no obligation to pay a 15 assessment fee. CAB also advised that they would be bringing this issue to the attention of Trading Standards. I have heard no more from Stephen, or this business. I would like to think that BMS will amend their business practices accordingly, making all fees transparent. It otherwise makes a mockery of BMS claims to offer ethical, person centred, services to folk who, I suspect, will be infinitely more vulnerable than I.
