        I took my car in for MOT and it failed on a few things. Found two cuts on rear tyres, fine, but it also failed on emissions. I have taken it to another garage and I watched him carry out the check and it fell below the threshold for emissions very quickly on the second fast idle test. The car front door handle is sticky but it does open on second or third attempt. The car was failed on this as well. If the tester had botherd to try the handle twice like they would in an emergency situation it shows it would be fine and with regards to the emissions falling under the threshold at a seperate garage - did the inspector wait long enough before taking the reading? All in all I felt like they wanted it to fail. Too strict if you ask me.
