Six of us had an amazing meal here last night - truly delicious food. And was especially touched that they spotted it was my birthday (as I was opening cards & presents at the table!) and so at the end of the meal brought me a banana fritter & ice cream with a candle in it. Such a nice touch - thank you! :)

Went after a great day out at Ilkley Tennis with friends. Had been a few years ago and it was fantastic Typical Thai warm welcome and great food reminding us of our many trips to Thailand. NOT THIS TIME !! We were met by a Thai waiter and given instructions on where to sit in the back end and dingy part of the restaurant despite there being free tables in the front where the atmosphere was much better. On requesting a seat there was confronted with a reluctant acceptance that this was in deed possible. From there it became a Faulty Towers experience of being treated incredibly rudely with any discussions over the menu he even left mid order to answer the phone and offered no extra support in deciding our choices. We decided that this was just totally unacceptable and left. We werent going to let a unfortunate arrogant individual spoil our lovely day when there are so many options out there in Ilkley. Then the rather crazy part was the waiters attitude as we explained how we were not prepared to be treated like this and he became even more obnoxious accusing us of not observing HIS instructions. In the end had a fantastic meal at the Olive Branch with fabulous service and great food . Dont stand for outrageously poor and insulting service!

We were a group of 4 and had a mixture of different dishes from the menu. Every dish had a unique flavour and was beautifully spiced and seasoned, the coconut rice was fragrant and well cooked. All over very happy and impressed and would definitely eat here again. We didnt take any photos because we were too busy enjoying the food!
