IN OUR OPINION, WE NOT SURE IF ITS AGAINST THE LAW FOR CARERS FROM THE NURSING HOME TO WRITE A REVIEW, AS OF COURSE THEYL GIVE A GLOWING REPORT, BUT OF COURSE THEY DO HAVE SOME CAREING STAFF. RIVERVIEW HAS IMPROVED WITH THE HELP OF CHRIS WRITING LETTERS OF COMPLAINTS TO THE NURSING HOME. ITS A SHAME WITH LOCKDOWN IN PLACE, THAT WE CANNOT SEE HIS MUM & MY FREIND CHRISTINE WHO IVE KNOWN 30+YEARS, JUST BECAUSE CHRIS GAVE HIS MUM A WELL NEEDED DRINK OF JUCE FROM HIS CUP YESTERDAY, NOW WE BEEN TOLD WE CANNOT SEE CHRISTINE OR PHONE HER, THAT SHES IN ISOLATION!! WE DONT HAVE COVID-19, AND MOST INPORTANTLY MUM IS 84 & SHE NEEDS TO SEE FAMILY AND FRIENDS SHES NOT GOING TO BE AROUND FOREVER. THIS IS THE OPINION OF TRACEY AND CHRIS, EVEN IF WE HAVE TO WARE MASKS WE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SEE HER. IN OUR OPINION IF ANYONE HAS CONCERNS ABOUT RIVERVIEW NURSING HOME SEEK ADVICE FROM A SOLICITOR.

my late mother was in this home for a number of years it was a uncomfortable place to visit And had taken me nearly 12 years to step inside as it was a ordeal for me. But having had the pleasure of revisiting this home under the new ownership recently this home has changed so much for the better. The home has gone out of its way to make residents feel happy and well catered for and very well looked after. They have introduced special areas for bringing the outside in doors with a 1940s tearoom a inside outside garden, hairdressers And much more. From the moment I walked in I could see and feel a welcoming feeling to the home the residents were all in great spirits and enjoying the activities from oompah games to mocktail Mondays day trips out and about and trips on the local canal boats that are designed for disabled people. They have a few pets Tina the tortoise and Dave the rabbit. It has been so well thought out and is all about the residents bring a little back of yesterdays memories. They held an open day recently and I had the pleasure of visiting again this time they had a marquee and bbq they even had a small horse brought in for them to pet. This home has just kept on going from strength to strength. The staff in this home really do put their heart and soul into looking after the wellbeing of the residents and you can see the smiles on everyones face. if I had to choose a home for me or another family member then this would be on the top 10 list I hope my review is helpful for anyone who is trying to look for a home for a loved one. I would also advise anyone to go and visit the home and meet the staff and have a good look around. Some of the negative reviews posted on here are not a true reflection of this home. Continue with the great work and thank you for hard work regards CLLR Darren Shaw (Skipton town Council).
