From initial enquiry, to taster session and then every session after, the gym has felt like a family. Both my children attend the Bullyproof classes weekly and love it. The one on one tuition, when classes are bubbling with excitement, shows that the instructors care about each student individually. As an adult or for your children, I would recommend this gym as a place to go, if you are in search for warm family atmosphere. The coaches are relaxed, knowledgeable and approachable, you get the feeling from the first conversation that they personally care for your journey and this continues!

As an out of shape mum of two I was incredibly apprehensive about starting a martial art, especially one that is traditionally a male dominated sport, however after a local woman was attacked- I knew I needed some extra tools for self defence. After a lot of research Gracie Jiu Jitsu came up trumps - especially good for women as it uses technique and leverage rather than strength to control opponents. I originally intended to stay just for a couple of months but have now been training for over a year, and have levelled up a belt level (finally!) and now enjoy the sport side of jiu jitsu as well as the self defence element. Its really empowering and fun! The beginners Combatives class is excellent at training in muscle memory fundamentals for emergency situations. Also both my daughters asked to join and now love the positive happy kids Bullyproof classes which show them how to use their body to stay safe. Gracie games day is a favourite and they work towards badges on themes such as responsibility/caring/citizenship. All in all an incredibly chill bunch of passionate coaches, a great gentle but strong club ethos & I always feel welcome on the mats. Cant recommend Evolution Jiu Jitsu highly enough. Coming in having never done any martial arts before its been a really positive, welcoming and supportive environment. The training is highly structured with a clear syllabus so you understand exactly where you are and what you are there to learn. The instructors are friendly and very focused on correct technique, safety and positive feedback as students develop. The fact that the classes also have supporting video content so you can revise out of class is great, and classes run 5-6 days a week so you can balance training with the rest of your life. Above all though the skills they teach are highly practical and emphasise safe resolution of self defence situations. Give it a go, there are free trials available!

Started training here a few months ago, very welcomed by all at the club. Great instructors and very patient as I personally find jiu jitsu quite challenging. My only regret is I didnt start it sooner, after the first class I could wait for my next one. I highly recommend this club and would recommend it to anyone.
