AMC Design

I had never worked with an interior designer before, but contacted Ann Marie when we decided to rebuild our house to make it work for us as a family. My default is to prefer a neutral palette, but I knew that I needed to add some colour the greys that I love. Ann Marie designed our bedroom so that practical elements like lighting and storage were taken care of, but she also made me go further than I would have done by myself. I love our room and it feels really me, even though I would not have been so bold, if I had been left to my own devices. Our kitchen, dining room and living room are practical and sociable and I love how the neutral base is complemented by the bold colours.

3 things Ann Marie brought to the project were creativity, presentation of ideas and project management. She made the process fun, and made sure that the work carried out was high quality. Before Ann Marie got involved, my house hadnt felt like home and I hadnt put my signature on it yet. Even though we still have lots of the furniture which I inherited with the house, it really feels like its my place now. To anyone who is thinking of working with Ann Marie, Id say the best thing is to give her plenty of wiggle room to do what she does and you will be surprised by her ideas and by how your property can look!

We contacted AMC Design following a number of recommendations from friends and local contacts. After being in our new house for 9 months and spending all of our time in the kitchen, we were really keen to gain a couple of homely spaces where we could relax at the end of the day. I have personally always been comfortable with a neutral palette and wanted to be pushed much more out of my comfort zone. We trusted Ann Marie and her team and even though we often felt uncertain as to how it would all come together, were totally delighted with the end result. We would never have found the time or had the vision to come up with such gorgeous rooms where we now love spending our time. Ann Marie took the hassle out of the project so we can now just enjoy where we live. Following the first 2 rooms, we invited her and the team back to complete another room for us which definitely didnt disappoint! Given the chance I would use AMC for every single room in our home....Lovely people too!

Ann Marie is an incredibly creative and professional interior designer. She redesigned our family living room not long after we moved in. I wanted to put my stamp on at least one room and she created a design that gave us the wow factor but that was also practical and affordable for a family of five. I particularly love the deep blue walls, ochre armchair and clever lighting scheme. And plenty of shelves for all our books, DVDs and magazines. I'd highly recommend Ann Marie and would happily ask her to design other rooms in my home.
