I was in a lot of discomfort with tension in my upper body and also through my lower back so contacted Sharon for an appointment.After my initial appointment I experienced a significant amount of relief from pain and have since had several more sessions to help release more of the tension .Sharon is also being very proactive in helping me to find relief from chronic pain in my feet .

My wife visited Sharon's practice in Ilfracombe and was very impressed. Sharon is thorough, knowledgeable and professional. Having a practice in Ilfracombe saved having to travel to Combe Martin and is really handy. My wife was keen to try acupuncture even though she doesn't like needles and she swears it helped with the pain in her shoulder and knees. I found myself in the painful position of having a herniated disc at the end of last summer (2018). After visiting my GP in agony I was told to take anti inflammatory painkillers and wait for the problem to rectify itself . Apart from the excruciating pain, I am a full time carer of an elderly relative and otherwise very active, so found this solution unacceptable. As treatment wasn't available on the NHS without a long wait I made an appointment with Sharon at the Body Aware Pilates Studio. Sharon listened and discussed the issue with me in an extremely objective and sympathetic manner and gave me both osteopathic and acupuncture treatment on my initial visit , although the treatment did not solve the problem straight away I was able to function without the need for painkillers the following day. After seeing Sharon on several subsequent appointments my herniated disc has been cured and I have no pain in my back. I even took my 98 year old mother in law for treatment with Sharon as I was so impressed with her care and treatment of my condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sharon to anyone who needs this kind of treatment. She is objective, sympathetic and excellent in her field, she constantly appraises the patient's needs and issues and adjusts her treatment accordingly. Helen from Ilfracombe

I went to Sharon with a complete spasm in my back. She was able to treat me at very short notice and I left after the session able to walk upright. A follow up session included acupuncture and seems to have been very helpful. I would definitely visit her again should any further problems arise. She also noticed a mole on my back which she recommended I take to my GP. It turned out to be a basal cell carcinoma which I had removed. Huge thanks to her for that.
