Weve stayed at Meldon House twice, and had a fantastic stay both times. Perfectly located for exploring Ilfracombe and beyond. Tunnels beach is less than 5 minutes away and you can walk to the harbour in 10-15. Spacious and well appointed its a great place to explore North Devon from.

We spent a lovely week with our two teenage sons at Meldon House. The accommodation is very spacious, clean and with all mod cons (including speedy wifi and usb plugs in all most of the power points). There's also satellite TV with chrome cast so you can stream directly from your devices. The shower is outstanding (!); there's a beautiful sunny garden; we had bad weather, so we were very happy to find that the heating works perfectly. And the location is superb: a short walk down the hill gets you to the harbour, and an even shorter one gets you to Lidl for all your essential supplies. If you have a car, it's a perfect base for exploring activities in the surrounding countryside: among much else, there's beautiful hiking, excellent boat trips, walks with a shepherd and his dogs, and even - if you're prepared to drive for an hour - a highly recommended activity touring North Cornwall on e-bikes. Meldon House has stone floors, so you might like to bring some slippers!
