Horizons Self Catering Holiday Apartment Ilfracombe. Devon

Having stayed in cottages in countryside locations all over the UK, we thought we'd try an apartment for a change in a small town. Horizons didn't disappoint. We went with our two grown up sons and found everything to be so comfortable. The twin bedroom has beds suitable for adults and lots of space. All of the bedding and towels were clean and fresh, with extra throws to use too. The beds were very comfortable. The decor was beautifully done with coordinated pictures and furniture. We all enjoyed a well deserved rest. The kitchen was well laid out and spotlessly clean. For once we didn't have to use our own sharp knives, scissors, egg cups etc, because everything was there already. Bliss. The owners provided a lovely welcome pack and had set the table, which bearing in mind we'd driven all the way from the Midlands, meant we could heat up something we'd brought straight away and get admiring the magnificent views. We used Horizons as a base to walk some of the coastal path and generally explore a really beautiful area. The town was lovely and we enjoyed visiting cafes, restaurants and shops on foot, so were able to leave the car in its parking space for most of the week. We haven't finished exploring the area, so it's no good we'll just have to book Horizons again and come back to Ilfracombe very soon.

We have been coming to Ilfracombe for years now and have stayed in many different apartments this was by far one of the best if not. The views were amazing and often spent time just sitting in the living room with the view out across the harbour. The apartment itself was well equipped and comfortable, had a good bathroom and powerful shower which was needed after days at the beach. When we left our youngest left his bag there, the owners kindly sent this back to us so another added touch on the experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting and we will likely use again!!!
