Very disappointing! This used to be the best bakery when I lived locally and I'd visit every holiday too. However, this time they had few options, doughnuts were undercooked and the chelsea buns were more like rolled bread with a raisin in it. Better to visit a cafe or tea room instead.

I bought a ham and salad roll yesterday at a price of 3.95. The bun itself was lovely and fresh but the rest was very gritty. On inspection I noticed the lettuce was unwashed and as a result I had to throw the roll away. I am pointing this out as you are going into your busy season and I would for your Bakery to get a bad reputation.

We visited Ilfracombe from Plymouth and thought we would get a couple of things to take back with us, What a big mistake!!! It's the worst loaf of bread we have ever had, it wasn't cooked all the way through, and we had to bin it. We also bought 4 hot cross buns which was doughy and not many sultanas in them, when my husband was eating his, he found a peanut in there, really not good if you have a nut allergy!!!!!
