My Father was a resident at West Bank from November 2020 until end of August . Dad needed a lot of personal and Nursing care and was not the easiest person . All the staff that were involved in any way with dad from nursing care ,care assistants , catering staff and cleaning staff made sure that my dad received the highest possible care .My dad was always clean ,shaved in his own clothes . The home always dealt with dad in a professional, caring and supportive manner. Dad went into West Bank Care home without us as a family being able to have a visit and check out the accommodation due to Covid . However we as a family would highly recommend West Bank Care Home and wish to Thank all staff for giving my dad his dignity right until the end

I simply cannot find the words to describe my gratitude and thanks to everyone who works at Westbank Care Home. My father was placed in this home after a two month hospital stay with his health concerns, and was discharged on Pathway 3. On my first visit to the home to see my father once he was there I was welcomed warmly and escorted round to my father's room. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with modern vanity units, sinks and cabinets. There is also a modern wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside table with more drawers, so plenty of room. The bed is a 'medical' type bed with lots of adjustments, just as you'd find in a modern hospital. My father was comfortable and sitting in a lovely comfy chair. He was so happy there, looking out at the countryside all around him. The staff, and I mean ALL the staff there, from registered nurses, through to carers, support and ancillary staff were amazing. So caring, professional, and certainly appeared to very much genuinely care for my father and my own wellbeing and needs. What a great team of caring professionals Westbank has. Sadly, in the end my father only experienced this wonderful care for three weeks as he was effectively in his 'end of life' needs, although he was fully aware and lucid until the last few days. I am so truly grateful for the level of care he received, the way in which he was welcomed, cared for and treated with absolute care, respect and empathy. My father simply couldn't have ended his life in a better, more appropriate, or well managed environment. Thank you EVERYONE at Westbank Care Home, you are all absolute angels. In memory of my father, Eric Turner, with you for only a short time, but at a crucial point in his life and experience. Bless you all.
