Did not go inside as it was closed. Really interesting piece of history. Set in the nature reserve. If you have a dog, please keep on lead as they have sheep grazing in the field. Please be prepared for the mud. We did the 6 mile walk from from near the discovery centre to the castle. In this weather there is very thick mud. I had to carry the dog through some fields.
