I am happy that we are in the middle of nowhere. Im not even upset there is no where walking distance to go, (except the nature reserve which i came to visit.) You need the car. I just wanted a peaceful, quiet holiday from Monday to Friday. So in the morning, the diggers start. They are doing works on site, resurfacing the roads. I can sort of cope with that. It is out of season. Would have preferred some warning about it.
On Wednesday, we woke up freezing and no hot water. Lucky us on one of the coldest mornings. To be fair, the reception did send out someone very promptly. The man came and put the heating and hot water back on. The lady I spoke to was very friendly.
On Thursday night, now Friday morning and there is a deep roaring noise constantly.
So I could not sleep at all. I dont know if it's the actual caravan or outside. Maybe the boiler still had issues, so it could be the thing making a lot of noise. I can not sleep if there is any loud noise. My partner said he can also hear a loud humming, but he is lucky and can sleep through anything. If we were here for another night, I would have had no choice but to complain. I will be happy to go home today.. I've been to park holiday holidays before and I have never experienced anything this awful.
The caravan itself. was clean and spacious. Well equipped kitchen. Would have been perfect if it was not noisy.
This site would not be suitable for families with young children. They would be very bored. The best beach around is camber and is about 30 min drive. It is more a site for older people enjoying the reserve and local area.
