Absolutely disgusting service from this chemist .last Sunday my daughter was given a script from the eye hospital for a serious eye infectionbecause the hospital pharmacy was closed we were given a Script for the chemist to fill outon Monday I took the script to boots in hythe and was informed that they didnt have it in stock but they would order it in and would be ready on Tuesday and a call/text would alert me of this.no call came so I phoned the store to be told yes it was in and was awaiting a pharmacist to sign it offI called them back to verify it was ointment and not drops ( as the assistant mentioned drops) and was told it was drops and that what was written on the scriptI told the assistant that the hospital had definitely written ointment for my daughter (she has cerebral palsy and refuses me to put drops in her eyes) and if the script states drops then I will need the script back so I can return to the eye hospital.then I was told oh dear no it does state ointment our mistake sorry we will order the ointment and it would be in on Wednesday and we will contact you when its ready.no call this morning so I called to check this medication was readywas told that yes it was now inI asked her to check That it was ointment and then told oops no it wasnt in stock and they would have it ready tomorrowI asked to speak to the pharmacistand the assistant didnt even have the decency to tell me she would get him to the phone ..she left me thinking she had ended the callI was about to explode when the pharmacist came on the phone and told me he was covering for the store and that he would look on the system and apart from telling me to calm down ( most women will not do that when told by a man) told me that sure enough the ointment is in and ready for collection once labelled had I not blown my top and asked for him then my daughter would have had yet another day of not getting the medication into her sore eye. I told him someone was extremely incompetent doing their joband the excuse is they are short staffed my husband is going in to collect as I do not trust myself to not have a very loud word in someones ear in front of anyone who happens to be in the shop
