Understaffed, and thus slow and disappointing. It's a fabulous location, especially when the sun shines and you can sit out by the canal. The staff that there are are lovely, but they're clearly constantly overwhelmed and rushed off their feet, even when the restaurant is half empty. Service is generally glacial and the atmosphere frustrated as every table is waiting too long for everything. Zizzi, you can do better than this. Hire some more staff, if recruitment is a problem you're not paying enough! Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly

- The manager is a thief (and his barmaid confirmed it ). He charged an extra 3,14 for OPTIONAL tip without asking us for approval and refused to refund it once we noticed it on the bill - We got our food with no cutlery - I ordered a margharitta with extra ham and mushroom ( for an extra 4) and all I had was litteraly 1 slice of ham and 1 mushroom ... - When asking for our bill, the manager came over with the wrong one, and I'm not even mentioning how rude the staff was before we finally got that bill... Go to Covent Garden instead or eat somewhere else. You'll lose time, money (and the food is not even that good).

I just want to share my last night experience at Zizzi Paddington. The restaurant was very busy when me and my family arrived at the venue and, as a Restaurant Manger myself, I do understand the industry especially considering it was a Saturday night. I could have a feeling it would take a while for us to get our food. We sat down at 7.45,wait a while to even get somebody to approach the table and place our order. The drinks arrive quite quickly, but the food...??? Looking around every single table was getting frastreated. I approched various different staff members to get clarifications about the situation:I spoke with 4 different people and they have being quite reassuring about the matter. The end came after 2 our getting just our starter, which my brother being a gluten intolerant couldn't even nibble on. I tried to ask to prioritise his dishes, but nothing happened, therefore we decided to leave at 9.30. The offer from the staff was a drink on the house while we would have rather eat, so we declined the offer. I believe that whoever was in charge didn't managed the situation correctly as to begin with the Deliveroo tablet was switched off and, while several different tables were waiting to even get a single dish, at least 4 different Deliveroo riders came to collect different orders. The people in charged waited for guests to approach them rather than being proactive and go to talk to every single table. I know, from experience, that things could go wrong, but it depend how people try to manage tough situations. On top of everything we shouldn't have been charge for anything, but we even paid for the water bottle that missed the amount of a glass. I am quite shocked to be honest.
