Data Recovery Direct

I am so grateful to have found Data Recovery Direct! I'm a photographer and all the work I've done over the past 3 years is on one LaCie hard drive which broke down unexpectedly. I went to another Data recovery place who quoted me 1200 for it to be fixed which is extortionate and estimated it to take 8-16 business days to retrieve the data (if possible). I stumbled across Data Recovery Direct and after reading all the amazing reviews I thought I'd give it a go and I'm so thankful that I did. Adam did the diagnosis of my hard drive there and then, carefully explaining what he thought was wrong with it so I understood the process. He then emailed me 3 days later saying he'd been able to retrieve all of the data and he charged me a fraction of the price of what I had been quoted from other places! He also advised me to get a Toshiba hard drive as he rarely gets people coming in to get those fixed and told me to stay away from LaCie and Seagate's as they regularly break down. I needed to get another hard drive to transfer my data onto as I didn't want to risk using my old one again so to make my life easier, he ordered me a hard drive to his office and added it to the invoice so he could put all the data on it for when I collect it, rather than me having to go back and forth, which I really appreciated! With 17 years of experience and charging an extremely reasonable rate, you'd be a fool not to go to him for any data recovery needs. I couldn't recommend him enough and I'm eternally grateful for all his help and kindness!!

Successfully recovered all the data I had stored on a failing drive that was becoming unresponsive and had started to corrupt some image files stored on it. Was getting pretty stressed out, but DRD created a new copy of all the data onto a new drive (including the corrupted files, so I could then at least open them and review the damage and see if any were repairable/usable). It wasn't a break the bank experience. Plenty of useful advice provided too - and they were very reassuring and friendly throughout. Recommended!

Data Recovery Direct deserves more than 5 stars! Adam was so helpful and he is highly skilled. Adam went out of his way to help me with my broken drive, he came to the store to collect it for me and work on it while I was away, he fully restored it plus reccomended me a new type of drive to use that is more reliable. I am so pleased and relieved! I highly reccomend you use Data Recovery Direct, they really care and have the skills to fix it!! Thank you Adam!

Cannot recommend Data Recovery Direct enough, they really saved me from an almost nervous breakdown! I had a LaCie harddrive with some very important work files I hadn't backed up yet for clients that were due within the next few days and I was beside myself (I have now learnt through this that LaCie harddrives are the absolute worst and break so easily / are actually just cheap and nasty harddrives packaged up in a rubber casing to make it seem protected and then hike up the price!!!). After going to a few places in London and speaking to some other people on the phone with everyone saying they couldn't help me, or with companies quoting me around 900+ to send off to forensic data recovery and saying it would take 10+ days, and also with one horrible company with an awful man on the phone making me cry when I was an anxious mess, I came across Adam & Data Recovery Direct. He was extremely patient on the phone whilst I was a bit of a mess and once I arrived he explained everything to me clearly and simply which other companies failed to do as they are constantly throwing techy jargon at you thinking you'll understand, and explained what he could help with, the likelihood of my data being recovered and put me at ease. I left the harddrive with him around 11/12 in the morning, and by 4pm he had let me know that he had been able to recover ALL!!! of my data so that I could go an have an anxiety free weekend! I went to pick up some of the data on Monday and by Tuesday the rest of it was ready on my new harddrive that I dropped off! Adam was also very helpful and gave me suggestions for new harddrive models that were reliable. I feel like a lot of people and companies can take advantage of you and your wallet when you get into a situation like this with a computer or harddrive, as they have you by the throat and know if you need it you'll throw money at it - but I never felt this way with Adam, he was very honest with me and does everything for an extremely reasonable price, and so so quickly as well, an absolute angel. I'm glad I kept calling around to find Adam rather than give my money over to another company for double the price. Hoping I don't get into a situation like this again, but if I ever did I would be back here at Data Recovery Direct in a heartbeat!!! If you are in the same position I was and you see this review - please please please don't hesitate to call Adam, it was the best decision I made!!!
