Bardsleys cars, AKA autoquest cars, Bought a car from this vile human being back in 2012. Numerous faults to drive train, steering and blown head gasket. Car sold with a MOT that wasn't worth the paper it was written on. I got the car re-tested and independant inspected and the car needed 1700 of work doing. This guy Mr Bardsley refused to allow me to return and reject the car, even going as far as saying that the car I part ex'd to him was sold, even though it was for sale on his website. He said he would get his mechanic to look at the car, but instead used it as his daily driver for a week! I asked to speak to his mechanic whom didn't know who I was or what I was going on about when I asked him about my car? I took the proprietor to small claims court and his tall story unravelled, And I won. But I see he hasn't learnt his lesson....trading standards are aware of this business....don't buy from Bardsley cars and if you do get an AA or RAC inspection before handing over your money.

My boyfriend bought a car from here to find the left strut was corroded.. To the point where the car was not road worthy and many lights not working although it had just had an MOT.. When calling the owner he said 'bring it back and if I think it's bad I'll give you some money' 0/10 for quality control checks and 0/10 for customer service..

I past my test in November last year (2013) and bought my car from Bardsley Cars of Hyde at the end of October. I went there with the expectations to buy a decent second hand car, we spent 2695 on a Citroen Picasso which was described as being a good runner . Now the car had a few issues such as the air-con/fan doesn't work on setting four and the boot you have to slam shut or it doesn't close properly. A few minor faults I was prepared to except from a second hand car. But after Christmas the car starting playing up and struggled up hills and was letting out grey/black smoke from the exhaust and mechanic had a look and said one of the air in take pipes was missing an 'o' ring which made the fuel/air mixture too rich, he sorted this for me and the car plodded on again. Then just after the three month warranty and I mean a day or two my car lost power on a motor way. After slowly getting home I took it to a garage and to cut a long issue short new turbo and two fuel injectors and I'm a further 1000 lighter. Now four weeks later the car wouldn't start and oh look back to the garage towed by Green Flag. Another 500 to fix a cam shaft and the rockers on the pistons and timing belt. We bought our 1st car from this garage on trust and got sold a dodgy car that hadn't been checked over properly and if I am honest I feel very let down. We did call about the issue with the turbo and they were rude and refused to help. I wouldn't buy from them again.........
