I hired two mountain bikes for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The hire scheme building is integrated into Hassocks station building (southbound platform) so easy to reach from London or Brighton. Great for cycling the byways of Sussex and the South Downs way.
The Specialized mountain bikes are well maintained and spare repair kit (with hand pump) and helmet are provided. Also useful for me (as I was cycling for a few days) were the pannier racks. These can easily be removed if you need.
Even better is that opening times are by flexible appointment, so you can mutually agree on return times and flex a little if needed with person on duty (all comms via text message). Highly recommend.
