Robins of Herstmonceux

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I ordered two 4m loads of top soil one week in advance, one to be delivered first thing, the other at lunchtime. When the first load had not arrived I contacted Robins and was informed they'd had had a vehicle breakdown the previous day and were completing yesterday's deliveries now and mine would be out later that day. I asked why I hadn't been contacted and informed of this and I was told "I don't have time to phone customers every half hour and tell them when they can expect to receive their deliveries"! I explained I was paying two people who were waiting for the load and I was told "I can put you through to the mechanic and you can shout at him if you like?". This response was given by the owner! I was also equally shocked by the attitude of the first worker I spoke with. Both had to be forcefully coerced to even offer a begrudged apology. Needless to say I cancelled the order, took my business elsewhere and will never use them again.

Used Robins multiple times for grab lorry loads as we can't get a skip delivered. Friendly quick service, highly recommended.

Robins have been a delight to deal with they have been friendly and extremely helpful in making sure the correct products were selected for our building and driveway needs. Prices are very good and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
