Hotel and restaurant with excellent public bar area in this pleasant rural village. Good quality meals but keep an eye out for the daily specials with a pint. Excellent value at 12:50. (April 2023) Couple of good real ales too. Parking: Lots of space, Bit limited at the front but big area at the back.

We called in for a drink after doing the Tolkien Trail it was not overly busy but there was only one member of staff behind the bar and I hate to judge but she was not the quickest server I've seen saying that when I eventually got served this young lady was polite and friendly the pub itself is very nice and the views from the outside seating were beautiful
