Lovely pub with really good food and atmosphere

Walked over with mum. Cheering atmosphere, Lovely Roaring Wood Burning Stove, top pints of Brakspear in lovely clean glasses, really nice clean Pub, with top quality hand soap in the toilets mum says Walked up with Mum and Dad for a revisit!!! Positively wonderful atmosphere, packed with happy people, fabulous Roast Beef and lovely Oxford Hold Brakspear. Spotlessly clean, its no wonder everyone wants to go here.

Phoned and left a voicemail to book for 24 hours later. Didnt get a response. Turned up the following day, there were open signs outside, cars in the car park and guests inside. Refused even to sell us a soft drink and a packet of peanuts because they said they had stopped serving. Considering this a popular route for walkers we will not be returning. Dreadful customer service in every respect.
