Good Sunday Lunch. Excellent service

Heard great things about this place, yet I am very disappointed. The service was shocking, we had to get our own menu and didnt check up on us. The food was also poor. The mash was grey and lumpy and the roast dinner in general was cold. We never saw the waitress again after the food was served. Never again!

Lovely deep steak pie literally crammed with chunks of beef. Tasty gravy home made gravy. Plenty of fresh veg - cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli. Loads of roasties/chips again home made. Very nice to have fresh veg served on what was a weekday lunchtime outside of season/ school hols. All good in a nice old pub.
