The room was shabby, frawsty smelling and very ill equipped. The kettle was plugged into an extension cable which threaded around the room to the only electrical socket which also supplied the only, rather shabby lamp on the only bedside table. I had stool with just a tray on it. This room was described as a Deluxe Room, booked through Booking.Com. If we hadnt business to attend to of an urgent nature in the area then we would not have stayed. No security in that doors were not lockable including the front door...no keys supplied! I was unable to feel i could shower or bath in the poor bathroom facilities on a second floor. Enamel missing off bath and dirty. Also due to a damaged knee i found the second flight of stairs very difficult. These were also not described on the site as being up another flight of stairs just that the room came with a private bathroom, then only to be told that the owners husband sometime uses it!! The ensuite room in their b and b must be the room that gets the good reviews as this most certainly never could. All the drawers and the wardrobe was filled to the brim with the owners clothes. Not at all suitable for a paying guest. Please, please see my photos!
