Lou is a fabulous teacher and such great fun to learn with, I started with Bridge in a day, then went on to weekly lessons with Lou. Still enjoying the sessions two years later, I highly recommend her she is a genius at bridge AND a genius at explaining how to play.

I learnt to play Bridge right from the start with Lou and I cannot recommend her teaching highly enough. She has been so clear and encouraging throughout and has put up with my muddled mind and sometimes total lack of concentration!! Thank you Lou!

I finally dipped my middle-aged toe into the waters of bridge about 7 years ago with a Bridge in a Day session and was instantly hooked. Have done weekly classes since. (As well as the occasional bespoke Bridge in Half a Day session) Lou is just the best. Her combination of humour, experience, teaching skills and biscuits make the small, intimate classes so much fun that you are unaware how hard she is making you work. Im a massive fan.

Lou is the most patient of teachers, and not only teaches the skills of bridge - but also engenders a real love of the game. For anyone worried about starting - as I was - Lou is the perfect teacher, combining a really careful balance between the teaching of new skills with plenty of revision and consolidation. Even the stupidest question is dealt with as if you are asking something perfectly reasonable (even if it absolutely isnt!) The classes are fun - helped by biscuits (and Lous sense of humour) During lockdown the lessons on line through BBO have been excellent, though I have missed the social side of actually playing with 3D people and real cards!
