The Prawn Cocktail ruined the whole lunch, it was called King Prawns, and they were nothing like King, they were at best 20 cm long and so very much from frozen, they were tasteless. If you cannot do it well, you just shouldn't do it at all, it just brings down the whole visit. The Lamb Duo was lovely, the desert was great, just those prawns are forever etched on my mind to make us reconsider coming back

During the visit at peak district, we tried to find a place to eat. And we struggling to find a spot which is Dog friendly! We decided to go with Foxglove, really impressed how cosy spot is, great food!

First time at the foxglove, and it was sublime. I got the Sunday roast of turkey breast with all the trimmings! My girlfriend got the chicken pie ! Massive portions, especially the pie that covered most of the plate!! The food was delicious, and the only tiny gripe I had was that the plates were not warmed, so the food cooled quicker. The place is beautiful inside and massive. The service was fast and efficient, staff friendly and attentive.. Can't wait to go back . Went back a few more times and unfortunately not up to the standard of the first visit but still pretty good but it is rather expensive for a pub chain.
