        Bit of a strange phone call with this garage. Phoned them to get my car booked in as we have a odd noise under the bonnet. I said I think it might be the aircon clutch (I do very basic repairs myself) but wasn't sure so I wanted it diagnosed (as they are the experts) and fixed by them. Staff member said he would have to go and ask whether they could take that sort of repair on and went off to speak to someone. They then came back and said they don't work on gearboxes, which I never said it was. I explained it wasn't related to engine speed or load and I thought it was maybe an ancillary. He then went on to repeat that they don't work on gearboxes, and could only fix my car if it was a belt that needed replacing or maybe a small bearing! I was then, after spending a while trying to persuade the man that I wanted them to look at it, informed the next appointment was 3 weeks in the future, which wasn't much use. A very odd and disappointing phone call. I don't blame them for the 3 week wait if they are busy, but they need to employ someone who can listen to what customers are saying and hopefully have a little knowledge themselves to ascertain whether they can help or not. A shame as I was recommended to use them.
