Wow. My husbands 40th Birthday weekend. Generous size room which was spotlessly clean. Staff surprised us with a card and a bottle of Prosecco in ice bucket in room. Lovely thought. Location was beautiful - right on the canal and short walk to town. Had evening meal and breakfast on site and the food and drink was amazing and very reasonably priced. Staff were all so friendly. This all contributed to a wonderful trip down memory lane for us, as it was 20 years ago since we last visited Huddersfield. Highly recommend. Thank you for a brilliant weekend Huddersfield Premier Inn

Ideally located for our trip away. Its Premier Inn so you know what to expect ... ie a clean room, friendly staff & no frills everywhere else (you get what you pay for) but for us it was all about location as we did a family pub meal & watched a film at the local odeon whilst visiting family nearby. The tea, coffee & sugar provided was quite stingy to say the least for a family room but the room was clean & comfortable. Only room view was of the car park which was a shame as canal was nice from the attached restaurant the next morning during the fabulous Full English & Continental breakfast which is defo worth the extra 10 each, plus kids eat free. So we filled up prior to journey back home and skipped the expensive motorway services prices (4 for a egg sandwich, & yes I do not have to stop & charge my car every 150miles) so 156 miles straight home averaging 66 Mpg ... only let down was the bar / club situated across the canal which I know Premier Inn have no control over and its central Huddersfield but even from our room in the main building and widow facing away from the club you could hear BOOM BOOM BOOM until 11:30 pm... so Premier Inn please put family bookings away from the main building to lessen the noise issue especially in summer when windows would be open ... overall a great place to stay it's Premier Inn so don't expect luxurious rooms or surroundings and it's fine ...
