never pick up phone what do they do

Some people have given 2 star reviews. They must have been staff. I have been on 3 calls to the Council totalling 2hrs 10mins. Not once was the phone answered. If my Council Tax was late, I bet I would have had a quicker response in the post demanding payment. What are we paying for ?????? what do the Council staff do. Well my unanswered phone calls prove that....NOTHING.

I have just reported 5 Street lights out in the Deighton area, on a roundabout verging onto Whitacre Close, been like that 3 weeks, I understand that they rely heavily on the public to report lights out but calling the council is a joke when your on hold listening to what sounds like someone drowning or someone or thing scratching there way out of something, where is the IT people to sort this out, I'm not surprised you only have 2 stars for your website and it will probably remain like that for another 5 years, people will just put the phone down, get a grip Kirklees

As we know councils are the refuge of the skiver. Completely backwards, more chiefs than Indians. I have never had a positive experience with them. More often than not they can't even figure out which department your meant to speak to. I must say though the department that deals with council tax collections seems to be frighteningly efficient.

Extremely helpful with our rat problem! However I would like the council to do much more about cycle lanes - e.g. on the ring road and all new developments. This Would help pollution levels. obesity, the planet, and save commuters money and their lives!
