So disappointed with the service I had done on Saturday. I have been left with damaged, patchy hair and have been refused a refund for my genuine complaint which I have the right to feel this way about. On Saturday I had a balayage done by Harriet which she missed most of my root out so my natural hair colour was left untouched and it didnt look like a balayage my hair was also bleached and left a gingery colour which wasnt the colour I wanted and it wasnt going to match my hair extensions later to be applied. (I will be attaching photos) I sat and hoped that after my extensions were put in they would somehow blend perfectly and match so I waited, as I couldnt clearly see the back of my head. so I then had an LA weave fitted which I have had for many years applied before somewhere else, so I know how its supposed to feel and what the usual routine is. Firstly my complaint is that Michaela doing my extensions shouldnt have applied them in the first place knowing that they wasnt going to match the colour it had just been dyed as this was very obviously two different tones. I am qualified in hair and beauty but it doesnt take a genius to know the difference between tones of hair as you will see in the photos. Michaela applied them anyway, all the hair on one row so it was very thick and bulky without taking into consideration of my very fine hair and small head which couldnt stand to have so much hair on one row without causing damage or looking noticeable. When I left the salon and got into natural day light and got home my mum said my hair was ginger and there was a visible line going all the way round my head where the extensions were visible and that she thought I was going there to have my hair dyed caramel with different browns running through it to match the extensions. I started panicking so I got her to take some photos and then it was visible to me how uneven my hair colour was and how much it didnt match the extensions put in or look anything like I was expecting. I burst into tears because Id wasted so much money my mum then sat me down and began to take the extensions out for me and I dyed my hair back brown with a professional colour from sallys. So I was back to square one within the space of an hour from leaving the salon except with more damage from having to use peroxide on my hair for a 2nd time in one day... I spoke to both Michaela and Harriet over messenger and they were quick to discard my complaint, brush it off and basically tell me that what I was seeing was wrong, they made me feel crazy and like I was the laughing stock and that the colour matched perfectly even though they had both put a picture on their Instagrams of my hair using different filters to tone the ginger out which is just false advertising as that certainly wasnt the end result and I wouldnt want young girls looking at that image and choosing to go to these people based on a fake photo. I was offered to have my colour re-done which I declined as my hair was in rubbish condition and wouldnt take any more peroxide without breaking off not to mention how awkward I would feel going back in, and I was offered to have my extensions put in again which I declined also because my colour was now back brown and because of the method in which the hair was put in I wouldnt want it done like that again. I simply asked for my money back which was 60 for the fitting of the hair and about 50 for the colour. I paid 268 for the hair it self which I cant get refunded back which I understand for hygiene reasons but I was only refunded 20... which is just degrading I really felt disgusted with that outcome especially when Ive been such a loyal customer of Michaela getting my nails done by her I know full well they could have just refunded me properly, they have the money to do so and I would have never had to write a bad review up. Just a waste of hard earned money and a serious lack of customer satisfaction on their part. Please do your research.
