I asked Tom to prepare drawings for a house extension. Matters were complicated, by various planning permission restrictions. From the very first phone call with Tom, I was put at ease, by his professional and kind manner. It was a pleasure dealing with Tom, during the site visits. It was very reassuring and calming to work with him throughout the whole process. Tom produced, very high quality drawings, with a lot of attention to detail, that I had not seen, in other drawings. Whoever saw the drawings, was very impressed, with the amount of detail in the drawings. With the help of Tom's detailed drawings, we were able to obtain planning permission, for our house extension. Tom also provided many suggestions, for the next phase of the extension. His knowledge is very extensive. I was very happy with all the hard work done by Tom and would definitely recommend him. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Tom, who answered all my questions with great patience and kindness.

Tom did a wonderful job on our extension. He was great at making sure our needs were met but also suggesting things we might not have considered. He understands passive house standards so if you are interested in making your house more sustainable he is brilliant for that too. He also supported us project managing the build. He was patient, considered and highly professional throughout. We will be using him again for stage 2 of our project.

We hired Tom for an extension and further ground floor works to our house in North London. Working with Tom was fantastic, he's such a knowledgeable, patient and kind person. I think my wife and I have a good idea of what we want but that kind of also makes us a difficult and picky client. He was keen to help us explore alternative ways to do the build (timber frame construction, eco materials, ...) even though in the end the complexity and budget didn't allow for that. Countless phone calls made by me with ideas or worries and Tom was always there to reassure, give his opinion or help look into it further. From planning to construction the drawings were top notch. The builder we used was amazed by the level of detail and clarity, which he says he rarely gets nowadays. It's much easier for everyone (avoids arguments) when everything is clearly mapped out, what has to happen where, what materials need to be used, etc. The works included a new layout of the existing ground floor to include a well needed extra bedroom and shower room, plus porch at the front. It has transformed the way we use the house. Some people forget the added value of the expertise an architect will bring to the flow and layout of the house. It's those small clever modifications you thought you got right. So to conclude, we have only good things to say about Tom, we spend 90% of our time in the new extension and absolutely love it. Highly recommended.
